(2000) CD31: Our new release is a result of two years work. As the tour for our last record, SOON, ended, Nance and I disbanded our group.We needed to find people who were as committed as we were or to just let the band idea go. That's when Maria Theodosiadou and Brian Haarer joined. We clicked right away, and started instantly writing songs together. For the first time, Her Vanished Grace became a full collaboration. We can't thank them enough for their energy and inspiration, because the result is the this new CD. COLORS is a blend of several musical arcs; spontaneous group energy, sonic explorations with new studio wizardry and sharper songwriting chops to bring it all together. VOL. 1 leans toward the raw and inspired power we discovered at the outset of our work and VOL. 2 refines that energy into a mind-bending trip into uncharted territory. Anthemic calvary charges, colorfully bruised melodicism and epic journeys to secret places orbit each other in an enveloping landscape that is equal parts grit and polish.SELECTIONS
